West Jordan Utah History
West Bank, Utah, will have daylight saving time for the first time in its history, starting on April 1, 2017.
The West Bank is served by the Red Line, which runs every half hour at peak times, and the Green Line. The Red Line is served by two buses, the Blue Line and the West Jordan Transit Center.
All major banks, retail and manufacturing companies are located in the West Bank, and the registered agent for all of the company's files is located nearby and is Eric J. Behunin.
Historic Gardner Mill is surrounded by small, locally owned shops, and the historic atmosphere recalls the once-bustling mill industry of the early pioneers of Utah. The museum also has a working forge with the original forge, which was once owned and managed by one of the most prominent pioneers of the West Bank, John Gardner. This building, now known as the Pioneer Hall, borders the West Bank cemetery, which is one or two of the pioneering origins of our community. Located at 7,800 south and 2,053 west, these houses are a collection of small West Bank homesteads, including the home of Joseph Smith, the first president of Utah State University, and many other pioneers.
The Sugar Factory site is the site of the first stop on the planned Mid-Jordan TRAX line, which is scheduled to run from Murray, Utah, to southern Jordan and back in 2018. The line starts at Fashion Place West station in Murray and turns south and runs through the West Bank until it ends in the West Bank Daybreak Community. The south of Jordan borders the neighboring West Bank community, and the line will then turn south into the city of Salt Lake City, north of the Utah State University campus.
Most of the West Bank is served by the Jordanian school district, and as part of that district, it had exceptional needs. The granite school district includes two smaller sections along the northern border and a small part of the West Bank community. Most of Jordan's public schools, such as Jordan High School and Jordan Middle School, are operated and serve most of the West Bank, with the exception of two small sections on the southern border.
In 2010, West Bank had an estimated population of 113,699, making it the fourth most populous state, according to the US Census Bureau. This level illustrates that it is the second largest - most populous city in the United States with a population larger than any other city outside Utah and the third largest - city with a population larger than the city of Salt Lake City, Utah. Compared to Utah, the crime rate is about 1.5 times higher than the average, but lower than most other Utah cities. It includes the cities of Cedar City and Provo, as well as several other cities in Utah and Utah County.
The well-maintained University of Utah campus and Utah State University campus in the city of West Jordan are a win for the community.
It contains a collection of tools that Archibald Gardner once used to build his house on the west side of the Utah River in the West Bank. It also has a granary building from 1867, which housed the US Department of Agriculture and the first Utah State University office.
The Temple on the Jordan is the seventh temple built in Utah, following the Temple on the Salt Lake in 1893. It was the first pair of temples to be built within the same city and is one of the seven largest temples in the United States and the second largest in Europe.
The conclusions of the study showed that a new temple at the Jordan River is needed for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Next year, we want to take a few big steps in this direction with the construction of a second temple in the city of Salt Lake City, Utah.
